This was really an impulse that seized me over the course of a month or so. I ended up using silks for everything but the black portion of the costume, which, while it contributed exponentially to the cost of the costume, is difficult to regret.
It was GROTESQUELY out of character for me to make this costume, but I had such a fun time wearing it, I can hardly regret that at all, either.
The bunnies were really the only handsewn aspect of the costume, which might be a new record for me
